Born in 1845, Samuel Farinet has been a counterfeiter right from childhood.
Après son arrestation, il se trouve obligé – presque par concours de circonstances – de mettre au service de la guerre ses compétences de faux-monnayeur et de jouer tous ses atouts au jeu de la survie.
Upon being arrested, he finds himself forced, almost accidentally, to place his skills as a forger at the service of the war, and to risk everything in a gruelling game of survival.
